Welding Engineer / Responsible Welding Coordinator (all genders)

Titan Wind Energy (Germany) GmbH is part of the international Titan Group and will in the future be one of the leading manufacturers of foundation structures (monopiles) for offshore wind turbines. With approximately 600 planned employees, we aim to make an important contribution to the energy transition at our Cuxhaven location. Our site is currently being developed and is expected to start production around the first quarter of 2027.

Your role:

You play a key role in ensuring the quality and safety of our welded products and systems. With your in-depth expertise, you support the coordination of welding-related activities, compliance with relevant standards and guidelines, and the monitoring and inspection of welding work. A particular focus is placed on ensuring that welding personnel receive the necessary welding and work instructions and that all tasks are carried out and supervised with care.

Your main responsibilities:
  • Responsible welding supervision according to DIN EN ISO 14731 for DIN EN 1090-EXC3 / DIN EN ISO 3834-2
  • Selection of welding processes and filler materials based on quality and acceptance requirements
  • Welding-related consulting and supervision of welding personnel
  • Evaluation of personnel deployment based on existing qualifications and skills; conducting training measures
  • Operator and setter qualifications in accordance with DIN EN ISO 14732; welder qualification testing according to DIN EN ISO 9606-1
  • Initiating and, if necessary, conducting procedure qualification tests; acceptance of work samples
  • Monitoring the validity of welder certificates
  • Inspection of materials, welded assemblies, and systems
  • Quality assurance in the areas of cutting, assembly, welding, and final installation
  • Final inspection, outgoing goods inspection, and inspection of externally manufactured products at Titan Wind Cuxhaven and at suppliers
  • Monitoring compliance with applicable regulations and contractual agreements
  • Reviewing customer specifications regarding weldability
  • Creation of inspection plans
  • Verification of documentation related to completed work
Required qualifications:
  • Completed technical degree, preferably in mechanical engineering
  • Further qualification as Welding Engineer / International Welding Engineer
  • Professional experience in welding technology, ideally in shipbuilding or steel construction
  • Experience as a welding supervisor (comprehensive level)
  • Ideally, basic practical knowledge in welding, such as prior training in metalworking
  • Ability to work independently as well as to instruct and support team members
  • Technical and digital affinity combined with strong organizational skills
  • Expertise in quality management
  • Strong understanding of standards, processes, and professional ethics
  • Qualification as NDT inspector VT2 (advantageous)
